Bhopal: Man opens fire in Gandhi Bhawan, on the run

Bhopal: Sound of a gunshots reverberated in air at Gandhi Bhawan as over dozens of people were busy listening to the representatives of Shri Rajpoot Karni Sena on Tuesday afternoon. A video of a man, in late 30s, seen firing in air through his rifle has gone viral on social media.

The matter was reported to Shyamla Hills police station. Senior officials visited the area and inspected the site. The organizers of the event expressed ignorance about the incident, however have assured to assist the police. Additional superintendent of police (ASP) Neeraj Soni said the man,

identified as Jitendra Solanki, opened fire in the air, we are still to ascertain if the gun was issued in his name or not. The man would be arrested soon and we would examine the license of the rifle used, said Soni. ASP informed that Solanki is on the run and after his arrest he will be booked under Section 336 of IPC, Arms Act and other provisions.
