Bhopal: Land-related government payments can be made in old notes

BHOPAL: The payment of Nazul land, for land cess and diversion of land can be paid through old notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 till November 24. For the payment of revenue fee for Nazool, Bhu-Bhatak and diversion, demand form would be obtained from WBM branch of Tehsil office or through challan, accompanied with identity proof, to be submitted in the bank. The banks, in such cases, will accept notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 in cash. ADM Ratnakar Jha said the demonetised notes will be accepted by November 24 for revenue recovery as per directions. He said bankers have been told about this.
