Bhopal: Family members of the girl, who was allegedly kidnapped from her house in Itarsi, created ruckus at Kohefiza police station on Sunday evening. The girl’s family was demanding action against the management of the hostel, where the girl was staying. They have accused the hostel warden and the management of being negligent in discharging their duties.

Pradeep Kumar Sahu, girl’s father, said that his daughter who was pursuing physiotherapy course at a private college in Bhopal was abducted by Sohail Khan. The girl had come to her home at Bankhedi for Diwali when she was allegedly kidnapped by the accused.  Sahu is former representative of parliamentarian Rao Uday Pratap Singh. Sohail, a resident of Sohagpur, had allegedly befriended the girl. The accused used to visit the hostel to meet her, however the warden did not take any action against him, nor did she inform the girl’s family.  Hoshangabad superintendent of police (SP) Arvind Saxena when contacted said that a case has already been registered under Section 366 of the IPC and that they are in touch with Bhopal police and are looking into the alleged negligence of the warden.

Meanwhile, Kohefiza SHO Anil Vahpayee said that the matter is under investigation and if the hostel management was in any way responsible for negligence in discharging their duty, action will be taken against them.  We have received the complaint and we will look into the reasons as why the management did not inform girl’s parents when she would often go missing from the hostel.
