Bhopal: ‘Kalyani’ Award conferred on seven brave & fearless women

BHOPAL: Umang Gauravdeep Welfare Society felicitated seven women in the city with ‘Kalyani Award -2019,’ at State Museum on Friday. The event was organised to mark International Women’s day. These women were –Ashima Gupta, Roshni Dalal, Vibha Sharma, Sujata Ajay, Suman Kushwaha, Seema Bharthare and Indira Jeswani.

All these women became widow within seven years of their marriage with no earning. But they didn’t give up. They struggled hard to provide good education to their children. And now their children are in good positions. Minister, culture Dr Vijaylaxmi Sadho gave away the award to these brave and courageous ladies.

After felicitation, the differently-abled children of the society presented a dance drama, based on the struggle of these women. The energetic performances of the children won huge round of applauses from audience. President of the society, Deepti Patwa proposed vote of thanks.
