BHOPAL: The I-T raids on the residential and office premises of the close aides of Chief Minister Kamal Nath may be a turning point in MP politics. After the raids on two powerful officers RK Miglani and Prveen Kakkad, the Central Government will have a tight grip on the state government. The officials posted to IT department in the state hardly had any whiff of the raids, and the use of CRPF without informing the state police clearly showed that there was a certain objective behind it.
A large number of important documents were recovered from the Platinum Plaza residences of Ashwini Sharma and Prateek Joshi, close aides of Kakkad. The documents are related to the Congress government and the officers. According to sources, the war room of the Congress was run from this place. There are many papers connected with the preparation for Lok Sabha elections and with certain names. The officers are wary of those documents. Sources further said that many officers who were given plum posting are also keeping watch on every movement after the raid.
Since Kakkad was in the police department, he has links with top police officers who think that those papers may open a Pandora’s Box and they will be in problem. Other than officers and the Congress leaders, the bureaucrats who are close to the BJP are also feeling scared after the raid. They feel if the state government takes any action against them, they will be in trouble.

Officer-on-special duty of Kamal Nath, Praveen Kakkad, was a police inspector. When he was inspector, he came in contact with former president of the state Congress Kandilal Bhuria. After that, he left the job and began to work as an assistant to Bhuria. Just before the assembly election, he met Nath and got the responsibility of controlling the war room of the Congress. Subsequently, when the party formed the government, Nath made him his OSD. His family runs many businesses.
