BHOPAL: Three suicides were reported from the state capital in the last 24 hours in Awadhpuri, Berasia and Ashoka Garden police station areas.
As per the Awadhpuri police, Nita Singh, 23, wife of Ranjit Singh, hanged herself. Police did not get any suicide note. She was homemaker and her husband was unemployed.
In another case, Balram Mehra, 30, farmer, committed suicide. No suicide note has been recovered. He was missing from Monday but family members were under impression that he might have gone to some other place. But on Wednesday, some one spotted him hanging at house built in agriculture land.
Thirdly, a 48-year-old man committed suicide by hanging self from the ceiling fan at his residence located in Ashoka Garden area during the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday. According to SHO, Ashoka Garden, Virendra Singh Chauhan, the deceased was identified as Azad Rao (48), a resident of New Ashoka Garden who used to work as a labourer.
On Tuesday he returned house from work and after taking dinner, he went to sleep in a separate room and when other family members were fast asleep, he hanged self to death. On Wednesday morning even after several knocks when he didn’t open the door, his wife peeped inside and found her husband’s body hanging inside room. Later she raised an alarm hearing which neighbours rushed the spot. One of their neighbour Vijay Dhote informed police regarding the incident.
