Bhopal: Hoshangabad municipality gets e-Nagarpalika Award

Hoshangabad: The state government had launched a pilot project in seven cities to make the municipal bodies paperless and cashless. Hoshangabad municipal committee was also included in this project, which was launched on April 1, 2016.

Under the project, all the sections of the municipality were to be digitalised. Now, the establishment and building sections of the municipality have been made completely paperless. All kinds of payments, including salaries, are made electronically and the registration of birth and deaths and of marriages is done online. The municipality was adjudged the best e-municipality by a committee of the government formed for this purpose. Pawan Kumar Singh, the CMO of the municipality was feted at a function organised at Bhopal recently. Urban administration and development minister Maya Singh was also present at the function.
