Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Home minister Narottam Mishra has warned that FIR will be lodged against Director Leena Manimekalai if she does not remove poster of film Kaali.

A film poster that depicts a woman dressed as Hindu goddess Kali smoking a cigarette has sparked anger in the country.

Talking to media persons home minister Mishra said, “Depicting Hindus deities in a "disrespectful” manner is highly objectionable.”

“Why film makers do not depict deities of other religions in such a manner? A legal action will be taken and I will instruct the officials to lodge an FIR if the film poster is not removed. Even ban on the film in the state may be considered.”
