BHOPAL: The 55th state-level annual sports championship-2016, organised by the MP Police, was inaugurated at Lal Parade Ground on Monday. Home minister Bhupendra Singh inaugurated the championship. Director General of police Rishi Shukla welcomed the guests and the players.
Home minister Singh in his address urged the players to give their best performance. He said sports help in creating healthy, disciplined and competent police force. The championship began with 4X100 metres relay race, which was won by North zone, Gwalior team comprising of Prakash Khatri, Hathiyar Singh, Vinay Kaul, Pushpendra Sikarwar. South zone, Bhopal and East zone, Jabalpur bagged second and third positions, respectively.
