BHOPAL: The state government is all set to file a case into the e-tendering scam. The scam involving of PHE department amounting to Rs 30,000 crore occurred, last year, during the BJP’s rule in the state. It was busted by the then MD of the state electronics development corporation and principal secretary Manish Rastogi on May 5 last. After tampering was discovered in nine e-tenders, a letter was forwarded to the chief secretary.
Subsequently the CS instructed the EOW to file a case into the matter on May 14th and also instructed the department to take the action into the matter. The EOW had conducted a primary enquiry on June 21, but no effort was made to seize the documents or the equipments. Till date no FIR has been registered into the matter. The EOW wrote to the Indian- Computer Emergency Response Team (ICERT) to conduct the inquiry into the matter in November. According to sources the team of ICERT had seized over 15 hard disc and other equipments related to the etendering process. Sources informed that the report of forensic investigations has been submitted to EOW for further action. And shortly the EOW will register a case against the accused of the scam.
