BHOPAL: The state government, after cancelling Global Investors Summit (GIS) on February 23 and 24 as scheduled by the previous government, is now planning to organize it on October 18 and 20. Chief Minister Kamal Nath who met several industrialists during World Economic Forum (WEF), is still keeping in touch with many businesspersons.
Nath is listening to the issues of the industrialists who had signed agreements during former government’s regime but could not start work. Nath is also preparing to get new agreements signed using his own contacts at his own level. Nath intends to get them all necessary permissions so that works may start soon.
Major industrial groups have been asked to submit proposals. The land allotment and facilities related to infrastructure, on the basis of proposals, are also under consideration. The agreement with these industrial groups would be signed when all works would be done.
These groups have been asked to submit their proposals after completing all formalities needed to get permissions related to industries. Nath is zeroing in on those industries and call centres which could generate maximum employment. The result of negotiations with the industrialists could only come up after Lok Sabha elections. After deliberations with industrialists, preparations to organize Investors Summit in October are being made so that its positive outcomes may be seen soon.
