BHOPAL: While addressing a meeting of ministers and officers here on Tuesday, CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan said government departments and agencies should not fight with each other like enemy nations. He made this comment when higher education minister Umashankar Gupta said the PHE was planning to move court against Bhopal Municipal Corporation.

Chouhan said in case of disagreement between two departments or agencies, the issue should be resolved through mutual discussion. Time and energy should not be wasted on protracted correspondence.  He also told the officers to keep in mind the resolutions, vision paper, announcements and budgetary provisions of the government while drawing plans.

Chouhan said old laws which had been rendered obsolete should be scrapped. He said necessary amendments should be made to laws coming in the way of ease of business.

He asked the officers to present utilisation certificates of allocations made for the centrally-sponsored schemes. He praised the panchayats and rural industries, urban development and housing departments for exemplary implementation of centrally-sponsored schemes. He congratulated the tribal welfare department for selection of 460 students studying in coaching classes run by the department JEE Main examination.
