Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A major mistake, connected to the raids on the residential premises of the former constable of the Transport Department Saurabh Sharma, has come to light. The car, in which the I-T sleuths found 52kg gold and Rs 11 crore, was moving near the resident of Sharma when the raids were being carried out.

CCTV footage in a camera installed in the house of Sharma’s neighbour revealed that the vehicle was in Arera colony, when the raids were being conducted.

As the vehicle was seen near Sharma’s house, there were possibilities that the car was parked at a nearby place. The Special Police Establishment (SEP) has, however, kept mum over the issue. The officers are keeping mum over the place from where the vehicle came, the roads by which it passed and how it reached Mendori.

According to sources, during the raids, the vehicle was in Arera colony for a long time. It is not yet known from which house the vehicle came out. After coming out of Arera colony, the vehicle reached Mendori, but the Lokayukta team had no inkling about it.

On getting information from someone, a team from Ratibad police station rushed to the spot where the vehicle was parked. I-T sleuths also went to the spot, but SEP was missing. According to sources, the axe may fall on some people in this case.
