Bhopal: Chief Secretary SR Mohanty, interacting with media after assuming charge on Tuesday, said district-level issues would be disposed at district level only. Mohanty said people from the districts coming to Bhopal with problems would be taken as inefficiency of the officials of the district concerned.
Mohanty said collectors should ensure that works be done without hassles. Unwanted delay in any work and misleading people would be intolerable. Chief Secretary said collectors, in case of any problem, should first seek instructions from divisional commissioners while police personnel should take instructions from inspector generals (IGs).
Mohanty said senior officers should take decisions after consulting with departmental minister. He said departments should work independently. Departments need to discuss on policy issues. Chief Secretary said any problem coming to Chief Minister or Chief Secretary, from districts and departments should be in knowledge of sub-ordinates.
Mohanty said it was his priority to fulfill Vachan Patra. Fund to fulfill Vachan Patra would be arranged. A monitoring body would be constituted for its fulfillment. Additional chief secretary and principal secretary would work under guidance of ministers. Mohanty said farm loan waiver was a challenge for him. A lot of work has been done in this matter and loan waiver would be executed in set time.
