Bhopal: Declare Budhni a sensitive constituency, says Arun Yadav

The Congress is trying to penetrate among the voters through the public meetings and press conferences.  On Thursday three press conferences were organised by the Pradesh Congress Committee, one by party national media president Randeep Surjewala, another by minister in Punjab government Navjot Singh Sidhu and another one by the Congress candidate from Budhni Arun Yadav.

Keeping up psychological fight against CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan in Budhni, the Congress candidate and ex-state Congress chief Arun Yadav led a party delegation to MP chief electoral office in Bhopal, where he submitted a complaint, demanding that entire constituency be declared sensitive.

He demanded that a detailed probe be conducted as to how in 63 out of the 370-odd polling booths, votes were largely polled only in favour of the CM.  In the complaint the party demanded that CCTV cameras be installed and video-graphy be conducted in all polling booths. It demanded that a special poll observer for Budhni be deployed and flag march by the central security forces in the constituency at least two days before the polls be done. He also demanded that the poll staff in the constituency should be from any other district but Sehore.

Surjewala alleges scam in Bundelkhand DVPT package
Meanwhile,Randeep Surjewala alleged that the state government had given the shelter into the Bundelkhand development package scam. The UPA government had given the package in the year 2004 following the drought situation in the region. Committee found the works done by the public health engineering to establish the tap-water-scheme was actually not done. Out of 1287 schemes 997 were found non functional and 18 was not even started, but the amount was withdrawn.

Navjot Sidhu while addressing the media, at PCC asked the question from the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He asked “In the year 1992 the cost of diesel was Rs 6 per litre and the cost of one quintal paddy was Rs 250, now the diesel is Rs 80 and the paddy is Rs 1,500. Why the cost of diesel had increased to 15 times and the paddy cost only for 6 times?” He alleged that the benefits of increased price of petroleum are given to the private companies like Reliance and Essar.
