Bhopal: In the wake of around 25,000 cases of the Amidst the reports of irregularities surfacing in “Jai Kisan Fasal Rinn Mafi Yojana” (loan waiver scheme for farmers), the government on Thursday announced to set up control rooms at district headquarters to take up complaints from the farmers in the matter.
Chief secretary on Thursday directed district collectors have been asked to form a panel to look into the complaints received and address them within two days. In the state, around 27,000 complaints have been received; most of the complainants are from Bhind and Morena districts.
Cooperatives minister Dr Govind Singh on Wednesday had directed strict action against those who have taken money in the name of farmers by forging documents. Many farmers from have complained that they have been named as debtors in the list of beneficiaries even though they did not take any loan.
While some have alleged that the loan amount they had taken was much less than declared in the books of accounts of the bank. To stem the irregularities in loan waiver, the chief secretary has said that control room would be set up at the district headquarters and collector shall form a panel to investigate into all the complaints.
The panel will include officials from revenue cooperatives, agriculture and other departments. In a prescribed format, the officials would be required to incorporate all the information made available by the farmer and about the loan forgery. The officials will have to inform the aggrieved farmer about the action taken ion his complaint in next two days. The action taken report will be forwarded to office of commissioner cooperatives every day. The final list of the cases related to loan and others the list will be published on February 5.
