Bhopal: Controversy has erupted over a statement given by the CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan about the Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan. It soon went viral on the social media that the CM does not know the educational qualification of the legendry actor.
While giving the example of people who scored low in their academics CM was literally caught with foot in his mouth, he said, “You know Amitabh Bachchan, who holds the programme Kaun Banega Crorepati, is not having formal education degree”.
He was trolled on social media by many who wrote that the legendry actor is the alumni of Sherwood College Nainital and afterwards he studied in Kirorimal College of Delhi University. He was very bright in study and he was count in bright students of the class.
Leader of opposition Ajay Singh criticised the CM’s statement and said that the CM should know that Amitabh Bachchan is one of the best student of the college and importantly he is the ‘Damad’ (son-in-law) of the state, because Jaya Bhaduri belong to Bhopal and by making such statement he has insulted him.
While motivating the students the CM gave many examples and claimed that “Marks are not the criteria of the success, many prominent personalities were not the good scorers in the exam, but they have left their name in the history with golden words.”
