The office of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) turned into a bear garden during the meeting of the election committee, because some party leaders and their supporters made a big noise over ticket distribution for the ensuing the assembly polls, on Sunday. Besides, there were protests against those leaders who might get tickets. Sources in the party said that Sudhir, son of Lakshminarayan Yadav, MP from Surkhi in Sagar, might get ticket.
A large number of party workers from Surkhi flocked to the party office and protested against giving ticket to Sudhir Yadav. They demanded that either a local candidate or the sitting MLA Parul Sahu should be given from the area. Besides, the party workers from Ashoknagar objected to giving ticket to sitting MLA Gopilal Jatav and former legislator Ladduram Kori. The protesters said that an educated and honest person should be given ticket and that Kori who brought charges of corruption against the Chief Minister was demanding ticket from the party.
Leaders and party workers from different places reached the party office demanding ticket for the coming election. Some people are lobbying for ticket through central leaders of the party. However, party’s state president Rakesh Singh said nobody was given ticket.
