BHOPAL: Both national parties are locked in a ding-dong battle in the upcoming by-elections in the state, because the BJP has failed to take advantage of the Congress’s self-goals.

The Congress has made such statements as gave the BJP an opportunity to take the party to task since the electioneering began.

Nonetheless, the BJP seems to be scared of the election results. The party leaders are not sure of how many seats they are going to win.

From common man to BJP leadership, there is a feeling that the ruling party may be able to save its government, but they do not know whether it will get more seats than the Congress does.

The party hoppers are at the root of all the troubles for the BJP, because the voters are bitter with the candidates who have deserted the Congress.

So that people’s bitterness does not affect the election results, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan along with the party leaders has been working round the clock.

The BJP has pacified its angry workers to some extent. The party men have been told that only the BJP’s remaining in power in the state benefits them.

They are convinced, because they have seen the days of the 15-month Congress rule.

Kisan Congress president Dinesh Gurjar’s statement that Chouhan belongs to a poverty-ridden family has given the BJP an opportunity to attack the Congress.

After that, Chouhan has made all efforts to take the issue to people saying that it is going to be a fight between the rich and the poor.

The BJP is also trying to cash in on MPCC president Kamal Nath’s remark against Women and Child Welfare Minister Imarti.

The BJP has also begun to take advantage of Nath’s statements against Chouhan like ‘Nalayak’ and ‘actor’.

The BJP leaders, however, look more worried than their rivals. The party leaders are not sure whether they will get a comfortable majority in the House after the elections.

According to political analysts, the BJP is worried, because they have to save the government, but the Congress which is already out of power has nothing to lose.

The Congress leaders know it pretty well that even if the party wins more seats than the BJP does it will not be easy to form the government.

On the other hand, the BJP leaders want that the party should get as many seats as can help them save their government to avoid a situation the Congress faced during its 15-month rule.

Therefore, the BJP leaders look more concerned than the ones in the Congress.
