BHOPAL: Chief minister Shivaraj Singh Chouhan is trying his best to undo the damage done by his comment that the Scindia ruling family was a stooge of the British and had committed atrocities on the public.
On Thursday, the state government announced that ‘Ek Thee Rani Aisee Bhi’ – a biopic on Rajmata Vijaya Raje Scindia will be exempted from entertainment tax. The film is set for all-India release on April 21. After the furor kicked up following the CM’s comment made during campaigning for Ater Vidhan Sabha elections, the Scindias had trained their guns at him. Following it, Chouhan had rained praises on Rajmata.
Sports minister Yashodhara Raje Scindia has thanked the CM for making the film tax free. She said Rajmata’s contribution to the development of the state was ‘extraordinary’. The film is based on a book ‘Rajpath Se Lokpath’ written by Goa governor Mridula Sinha.
