Bhopal: 4 held in chit fund fraud case

BHOPAL: Jabalpur police arrested two accused of a UP-based chit fund company, who had absconded after collecting over Rs 8 crore from the city.

Jabalpur SP Mahendra Singh informed that around a dozen people had filed a complaint that chit-fund Astha Buildtec private limited company had taken crores of rupees from them claiming to double the same in five years and fled when the time came for repayment. The police raided the premises and seized various documents and registered a case under sections 420,467,468,471 of IPC before arresting company agent Ramfal Rajak and one of the directors Ratandas Gupta, from Jabalpur.

But the main accused was at large. The police raided the hideout in Uttar Pradesh and arrested accused joint director Kolesh Kumar Mourya and general manager Khemraj Gupta.
