BHOPAL: Two people were killed while two were injured after a water-tanker allegedly crashed into a hospital building on Tuesday evening at Shahjahanabad. The accused driver of the tanker fled the spot soon after the incident, the police said.

Two people standing there died on the spot while two others sustained minor injuries. The driver is absconding. The victims were identified Faiz, 28, of Aishbag and Amanullah, 50, of Jumeirati.

“Investigations are still on to know how the tanker rammed the building. The owner of the water tanker which used to operate under Sohail Water Supply has been informed about the incident and would be questioned regarding it. The police have so far registered a case against the absconding driver and efforts are on to nab him,” said city SP (Shahjahanabad), Sunil Shivhare.
