Bhopal: 2 cousins killed in road accident

Bhopal: A bike-Bolero collision claimed the lives of two cousins on Thursday. The two youths: Hakam Singh Ahirwar and Vijay Singh Ahirwar, were returning from work from Bhopal. They were heading towards Jaitpur village under Gunga police station limits.  They worked at separate industries and would shuttle between Bhopal and their native place on the bike.

The mishap occurred when they reached near Golkhedi under Eitkhedi police station limits at around 07:30 pm, after a Bolero hit their bike from the front. The duo fell on the road and sustained serious injuries while the errant driver fled the area.

Eitkhedi SHO Ashok Gautam said the the Bolero was coming from Bairasia. He said the duo was rushed to a hospital, where one of them died within an hour while another other died a little later. He said a case has been registered and probe is on. He said the duo were not wearing helmet, also the area in the village had poor visibility on the road as the street lights are not functioning.
