BHOPAL : A 40-year-old man of Raghogarh in Guna district was nabbed from a city hotel on Tuesday for duping nine persons to the tune of Rs 90,000 in the name of providing jobs to them in New Zealand.
SSP Raman Singh Sikarwar said that the victim Mohammad Furkan and eight others were duped by Mohammad Idris, saying that he would get them jobs in Marbin Company in New Zealand. They were told that they would be recruited as crane operators, helpers, welders etc.
A complaint was lodged with the Hanumanganj police by the victims after which accused was held from Hotel Palace in Hanumanganj police station area.
Mohammad Furkan, Adbul Hasib, Iftekhar Ahmed, Badusajma, Hifaz-ur-Rehman, Dilshad, Abdul Shoeb, Mohammad Usman and Imitaz Ahmed had paid him Rs 10,000 each and on July 5 they were again asked to pay Rs 50,000 each for medical tests and registration. The victims grew suspicious and lodged a complaint with the Hanumanganj police.
Police have recovered Rs 3000, an Alto car, blank forms of Marbin Company with company’s logo, driving license, PAN card, fake passport prepared by replacing the photograph of the holder Rahul Sharma with that of the accused, fake police verification letter of Ragogarh police station, one mobile phone and four filled forms of victims along with their photographs and medical certificates.
