Japan: Not Bus Or Taxi, Tokyo Student Takes 4-Hour-Long Flight, Spends ₹20,000 Each Day To Her University And Back

While many students opt for buses, trains, or even relocate to be closer to their universities, one Japanese student has made headlines for her unusual approach, where she would fly daily between cities to attend lectures and receive her graduation certificate.

Yuzuki Nakashima, a 22-year-old student, has gone viral for her extraordinary daily commute between Tokyo and Fukuoka.

In her recent YouTube vlog, Yuzuki revealed that she took round-trip flights to attend her classes and back home the same day, reportedly spending nearly Rs. 20,000 every day. The one-way journey, which would take two hours, cost her over 15,000 yen (Rs. 9,000 approx.), according to reports.

The student was also a member of the pop group Sakurazaka46. She resided in Tokyo because of her commitments, but didn't step back from getting a formal education from the university of her dreams. She was dedicated to attending university in Fukuoka, located approximately 1,000 kilometers away.

Her video revealed that her day started early, with her rushing to the airport for a morning flight. She would board the first flight from the Haneda Airport around 6 AM and land at the Kitakyushu Airport by 9:30 AM.

To make use of her travel time, she would study and complete assignments from the skies.

After attending classes, she returned to Tokyo for evening dance and vocal training sessions.
