Former Indian tennis player Mahesh Bhupathi was born on June 7, 1974. Bhupathi is one of the finest Tennis players to ever come out of India.
Born in Chennai, Bhupathi began playing tennis from a very young age and was encouraged by his father, who also coached him.
He holds a total of over 50 career titles in doubles and nearly eight in mixed doubles. He also became the first Indian to win a Grand Slam tournament (with Rika Hiraki).
Bhupathi has been married to actress Lara Dutta since February 16, 2011. Together, they have one daughter, Saira, who was born on January 20, 2012.
Apart from being an all-star tennis player, he is also an extremely devoted father.
