Team India keeper-batter Rishabh Pant was seen making pizzas at a restaurant in England after the recent five-Test series. The left-handed batter was seen in a jovial mood despite his gruesome foot injury and revealed how his brother would say, 'Ghar pe toh kuch banaya nahin hai.'

Pant, 27, sustained the foot injury on Day 1 of the fourth Test at the Old Trafford in Manchester. The southpaw suffered it while attempting a reverse sweep against Chris Woakes and had to be taken off in a golf cart. Although Pant returned to bat on Day 2 and scored a crucial fifty, the injury forced the youngster out of the fifth and final Test.

In a video shared on Instagram, Pant wrote:

"Impasto, salsa, forno… and me."

He said:

"Main toh chef hee lag raha hoon." (I do look like a chef.)

The Uttarakhand-born cricketer hilariously remarked that the only thing he can do with a broken foot is make pizza.

"Today I'm going to show you how to make pizza guys. Bear with me. I think I'm going to make vegetarian pizza. I like vegetarian. I think if I make more pizzas, I'll be sorted. It's hot in here, boys. The pizza is getting ready. I'm going to wait for it. That's the only thing I can do with broken foot, make pizza."

He added"

"My brother must be thinking 'ghar pe toh kuch banaya nahin hai. Yahan pizza bana raha hai'".

Rishabh Pant unlikely to be picked for Asia Cup

Meanwhile, Pant is highly unlikely to be picked for the upcoming edition of Asia Cup 2025, beginning on September 9 in the UAE. With the southpaw already having a foot injury, the selectors will want to give him time to recover before the home Test season begins.

Sanju Samson will most likely be India's first-choice keeper-batter for the multi-nation tournament in the UAE.
