Wellington : Britain’s number one tennis player Andy Murray has revealed that there won’t be any celebrities at his wedding as the Scot’s bride-to-be Kim Sears has opted against a star wattage at the ceremony. World number one Novak Djokovic revealed that he has not been invited to the Scot’s wedding and he is not the only one who would be missing at the ceremony, which would be held at Dunblane Cathedral this weekend.
Murray knows a lot of famous people, with the likes of Billy Connolly and Sir Alex Ferguson among the eminent Scots who have showed up in his player’s box. He has also acknowledged that he has been out for dinner many times with James Corden, the actor who is now presenting a chat show on the American channel CBS, Stuff.co.nz reported. Djokovic is in the same boat as the rest of the tour’s leading stars, for Murray – in consultation with his bride-to-be Kim Sears – has opted against star wattage at the ceremony, which will be held at Dunblane Cathedral this weekend.
However, none appear to be there on the guest list, and neither would Roger Federer. Even Rafael Nadal, who is Murray’s closest friend among his leading on-court rivals, would be in Monte Carlo preparing for his first European clay-court tournament. Murray claimed that there won’t be any celebrities as such, adding that he doesn’t have any celebrity friends so it wasn’t something that was planned.
He revealed that the list would be everyone who they are close to, people they have spent a lot of time with in the past but also people they see ourselves spending time with in the future, adding that that’s how they came up with the names.
