My brother got a promotion at work and I couldn’t be happier for him. However, there’s slight jealousy that I’ve been feeling. Despite working for more years than him, my earnings are way less. I love my brother but I can’t help but feel like this at times. Also, I feel my parents have suddenly been focusing more on him and his needs than on mime. I was the one running the house but now almost everything is about him and I don’t know how to deal with this new feeling.

This is a typical scenario where Ancestral Karma triggers the Ego Karma causing suffering. Ancestral Karma is created via the construct of values and beliefs built by society and upbringing across births. The Ancestral Karma of the modern economy has defined success and worthiness with the amount of money we make. Earlier, it was defined by the amount of land or the number of livestock one had. Your parents, under the influence of this Karma, have subconsciously attached more value to your brother. Hence, you feel less worthy, which triggers Ego Karma. This Karma gets triggered whenever we feel judged or judge others. This new feeling is because of Ego Karma. Now, whenever you feel this, remind yourself that you are under the influence of Ego Karma. Observe this new feeling with this logic instead of interacting with it.

I’m 50 and have two children. We are wealthy and have strong family ties. However, I feel empty and I long to leave this life. I feel ashamed of wishing for that. I have dreams of travelling. I don’t think anyone from my family would understand, or support me. What should I do?

You have built your life revolving around Ancestral Karma. Our Ancestral Karma is a belief system inherited from our ancestors and shaped by society. We design our lives under the illusion of this Karma, without ever syncing with our true desire. Ancestral Karma is one of the biggest barriers to realise our Destiny Karma (true desire: what we are meant to do). Also, shame is one of the weapons that Ancestral Karma uses to push us further away from our Destiny Karma. This shame triggers your Ego Karma, as you are judging yourself. So embrace the shame and ask yourself why do you feel like this? Once you have found your satya, Destiny Karma will open its arms for you. You will be able to get over the Ancestral Karma and plan your future smartly. Remember, if you are in sync with your Destiny Karma, no situation will ever be exhausting.

Recently, I got married to my partner of 10 years. However, after the initial honeymoon phase, things started to turn nasty and toxic. I have experienced a lot of physical and emotional abuse. I have been paying for both of us till now. When I pointed that out to him, he spoke about divorce. I feel used and abused but I still love him. What kind of Karma is making my life such a mess?

What you two have is called Relationship Karma, which is the dance of anger and guilt built across births between souls. In your case, you are playing the role of the guilty whereas he is playing the angry role. Till the karmas ripen, you both will be stuck in this vicious cycle of toxicity. Hence, either you end this marriage or both of you undergo Body Memory Therapy to remove the Karma. Presently, your guilt caused by this Karma is manifesting the feeling of love. This guilt has made you pay for everything as well. Once you get rid of this Karma and the guilt, the need to be with him will also disappear. It is from this guilt-free place that you can make an informed choice about being in this marriage or taking it to the next level or getting out.
