Mumbai: Western Railway Mazdoor Sangh (WRMS) went on a hunger strike in front of the Divisional Railway Manager’s (DRM) office at Bombay Central on Wednesday over the issue of problems faced by the Bombay Central division not being solved. Their demands that remain unfulfilled include the non-filling up of vacancies of the loco running staff and guard category, and creation of posts due to additional work such as extension of the suburban section and introduction of new trains. WRMS workers said that they have discussed their problems with the DRM, but nothing has been heard from the administration’s side about resolving the problems.
