Mumbai: A daily commuter shared an issue regarding an inappropriate poster found in the ladies compartment of a Mumbai local train. The user, mentioned the issue by the handle '@reall_ck', he posted about the matter via X on Monday. The poster was spotted on the Western Line of the Mumbai local. The post highlighted the discomfort faced by the commuter's sister due to the inappropriate content in the ladies coach.
The inappropriate poster advertised inside the ladies coach of local train running on the Western railway route featured mobile number and starting price to access male sex services. The poster stated "feeling bored have some fun" highlighting terms like "Toy boy," "Rent boy" in the poster.
In the post, the user tagged several authorities, including Mumbai Police, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis, DRM - Mumbai Central, WR, and IRCTC officials. However, despite these tags, there was no response nor action from any of the authorities regarding the incident.
In an X post the user stated "My sister saw this disappointing and inappropriate poster in the ladies’ coach of a Western Line local train today. These posters are common in Mumbai local trains, yet no action is taken."
Meanwhile, In a shocking incident, a naked man was spotted in the women's compartment of the CSMT-Kalyan fast AC local train on Monday. The incident occurred around 4:11 PM and was shared in a commuter group by passenger Lata Argade, quickly going viral on social media.
The man was seen standing near the door of the women's coach as the train reached Ghatkopar station. Distressed women commuters were upset by the incident. The issue was addressed by the train conductor (TC), who intervened, escorted the man out of the women's compartment, deboarded him at the next station.
Speaking about the incident, a source said, "The presence of the ticket checker was fortunate as he ensured the man was removed from the compartment before further distress was caused."
“This is not the first time we are feeling unsafe while travelling. Deploying RPF constables in women’s coaches is the need of the hour,” said a daily commuter.
