Nashik: A lady teacher of a private school in Nashik was set free after a warning for thrashing a toddler mercilessly, which was caught on CCTVs. However, the teacher defended herself saying the little child was slow and much behind the rest of the class and needed the push.
The parents of the 3.5-year-old were in for a shock when they saw the child had red marks on his body. They went to the Gangapur police station, where a complaint was lodged. After scrutiny, the officials scanned the CCTV camera footages and saw the captured incident.
Gangapur police summoned the school principal and the lady teacher who beat the child. Teacher admitted to the beating, saying she was under immense pressure from her family. The parents were sympathetic to the teacher and did not file a first information report, which would have rendered her jobless. Police have given her a earful and let her out with a warning.
