Mumbai : After their demands were partially fulfilled by the state education minister Vinod Tawde on Thursday, resident doctors across the state will be continuing their protest wherein they will not resume their services at Out-Patient Departments (OPD). No action has been taken against former vice-dean of Government Medical College and Hospital Dr Makrand Vyavahare who was accused of sexual harassment of two resident doctors in Nagpur.

The demands which have fulfilled include sanctioned maternity and TB leaves, increased stipend from December along with all arrears. Dr Sagar Mundada, president of Central MARD, said, “The primary issue of Dr Vyavhare freeship and bond release has not been solved totally. The minister has set a new deadline for these demands. Till then, we will continue our protest.”
