State election commissioner J S Saharia has directed all the district collectors to form separate election cells to ensure free and fair elections.
A meeting of senior officials from major municipal corporations, too, was conducted at the SEC’s office here on Friday. Saharia also said that the entire process of the elections would be computerised.
