Bhayandar : The Mira Road police station witnessed chaotic scenes on Monday when activists of the Bahujan Vikas Aghadi (BVA) joined by locals launched an agitation to register their protest against objectionable scenes in recently released Bollywood blockbuster film ‘Ek Villain’.
The movie depicts a character Brijesh (played by Kamal R. Khan) who is seen firing off tips on how to keep wives in control also repeatedly hinting at ‘Mira Road’ as a place to enjoy and release stress. Subsequently a red-light area is shown as Mira Road.
“The film definitely shows Mira Road area in bad light which will not be tolerated,” said Sanjay Pandey, an office-bearer of local estate agents association which is in the process of moving the judiciary.
Meanwhile, BVA leader Ejaz Khateeb registered an official complaint with Deputy Superintendent of Police (Mira Bhayandar) Suhas Bobache demanding immediate deletion of the objectionable scenes and dialogues tarnishing the image of this region and sending a wrong message amongst people.
