Residents of the Khanda Colony and the adjoining areas have expressed happiness after the Navi Mumbai Municipal Transport (NMMT) resumed route number 59, connecting Panvel and Khandeshwar railway station after two years. The bus services between these two places were closed during the pandemic.
Several residents took to Twitter, a micro-blogging platform and demanded to restore the bus services as they had to shell out double fares in auto-rickshaws.
Last week, NMMT issued the timetable of route number 59 on July 1, regarding restarting the services from July 1. The update was uploaded by the Asudgaon depot of NMMT.
