A shocking love triangle case has emerged from Nagpur, where a man was allegedly killed by his friend following a dispute over a woman. The deceased, identified as Gaurav Ragde, was allegedly stabbed with a knife by his friend Gaurav Raut in the Sundarban area of Narendra Nagar.
According to reports, Ragde had several criminal cases registered against him. Nearly nine serious cases, including murder, attempt to murder and robbery. He had allegedly been released from jail on bail around two weeks ago.
Dispute allegedly involved same woman
According to police officials, Ragde had been in a relationship with a young woman for the past two years. Reports further claim that his friend Raut was also allegedly in a relationship with the same woman. After learning that they were both involved with her, the two friends reportedly had several arguments over the matter, SaamTV reported.
On the day of the incident, Ragde allegedly pelted stones at Raut’s house after learning that the woman had visited Raut’s residence for a party. He also allegedly abused the woman following the incident. As the situation escalated, Raut and his friends reportedly fled the spot.
Violent confrontation breaks out
However, Ragde allegedly chased them, following which a violent confrontation broke out between him and Raut near the Sundarban drain. During the scuffle, a knife that was allegedly in Ragde’s hand was reportedly snatched by Raut, who then allegedly stabbed him.
Following the attack, Ragde was rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
Two arrested in case
Police have arrested Gaurav Raut and Abhishek Wasnik in connection with the case. The Beltarodi Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident and the exact sequence of events leading to the alleged murder.
The incident has caused a stir in the Narendra Nagar area of Nagpur.
