The Santacruz police have registered a non-cognisable complaint against a woman or allegedly abusing actor Varun Dhawan and his family. The woman also threatened to commit suicide outside his home.

According to Hindustan Times, the incident took place on Friday at around 9.30 pm outside Varun Dhawan’s residence at Juhu Tara Road. The woman who has been identified as Archana Dange was waiting for Varun near his home. Dange, who is Varun’s fan, was waiting for a few hours for a selfie with the actor. Varun refused to take a selfie as he wanted to rest after a hectic schedule. But the fan refused to leave and created a ruckus.

A police officer told the leading daily, “On seeing him, she started hurling abuses at him and his family. She also threatened to physically harm one of the actor’s friends and threatened to commit suicide.” The cops have registered a case under sections 504 (intentional insult and with intent to provoke breach of peace) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the IPC.
