Mumbai reports 383 COVID-19 cases, one death

Of 383 new patients, only 21 were hospitalised.

Mumbai on Wednesday reported 383 new coronavirus infections but no pandemic-related death, the civic body said.

The caseload of India's financial capital rose to 11,19,833, while one death was reported taking the tally to 19,625, said a release issued by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).

Of 383 new patients, only 21 were hospitalised.

With 694 patients recovering since the previous evening, the total of recoveries rose to 10,97,202.

There are 3,006 active cases in the city now.

The recovery rate of Mumbai is 98 per cent.

The caseload doubling rate -- period needed for the caseload to double -- has increased to 1,645 days.
