On Thursday, the D N Nagar Police in Andheri arrested a man for murdering his 18-year-old colleague. The police solved the case and arrested the accused in 7 hours.

According to DNA, the accused has been identified as 18-year-old Fazle Karim Saifulla Khan and the deceased has been identified as Sandeep Pal. Khan and the deceased were working together in the same office as medicine delivery boys, but both were not on good terms. On the day of the incident, the duo got into a scuffle which aggravated into a physical fight. A police officer told the leading daily that, “Both lived in the same area and on Thursday, the duo had a fight but the locals in the area intervened to stop them. On Friday, the duo again got into a fight outside Pal’s house.”

During the fight, a fruit seller passed them by, that is when Khan picked up a knife from the fruit seller’s cart and stabbed Pal on the left side of his stomach. After stabbing Pal, Khan fled from the spot and locals immediately  called the police. The cops made five teams to find Khan. The police initially thought that he might escape to his hometown in Gorakhpur, hence a team was sent to Andheri station. After scanning CCTV footages, the police located the accused at Ram Mandir station and was arrested.
