In a shocking incident, a 20-year-old stockbroker allegedly attacked his parents with a hammer and then stabbed them with a screwdriver and knife, at their Nalasopara home early on Tuesday, for constant losses in the stock market.
According to Hindustan Times, the accused has been identified as Janmesh Pawar (20). Pawar’s father, Narendra, 53, is also a stockbroker, while his mother Namrata, 48, works as an infant masseuse in Nalasopara, Vasai and other areas. The incident took place on Tuesday around 3.30 am when, after all went to sleep, the accused hit his father on the head with a hammer and then stabbed him with a screwdriver.
When his mother tried to stop him, he stabbed her with a kitchen knife. After attacking both of them, Janmesh Pawar changed into fresh clothes and left on his motorcycle. After the incident, Narendra (accused’s father) managed to call his nephew who rushed them both to a nearby hospital, but the couple was later shifted to KEM Hospital. The cops have registered a case under Section 307 (attempt to murder) and 506 (criminal intimidation).
