The Boisar police on Saturday arrested an 18-year-old student and his three accomplices for allegedly threatening a tuition teacher with a gun. The four accused threatened the tuition teacher after he had tried to stop a girl from meeting the teenager.
According to Hindustan Times, the 18-year-old student was identified as Manish Tiwari, who is a resident of Boisar and the teacher was identified as Ranbir Paswan. Tiwari, a college student, used to attend an English tuition class run by Paswan. The incident took place on Saturday, when Tiwari asked a girl, who is a classmate at tuition, to accompany him to Dahanu beach. This terrified the girl, who later complained regarding the same to Paswan. Paswan advised the girl to ignore and avoid Tiwari and that she should concentrate on her studies.
Later the same evening, Tiwari and his three friends went to Paswan’s class and in front of all students Tiwari threatened Paswan with a gun and asked him not to interfere in the issue. Tiwari also told Paswan that if he failed to hand over the girl, he would kill him. After this, Paswan lodged a complaint, which led to the arrest of Tiwari and his three accomplices. The cops also recovered three country-made revolvers and 10 live bullets.
