Following the announcement of the assessment policy for Class 10 Secondary School Certificate (SSC) board students, the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) has created an informative video regarding the same on its YouTube channel at https://mh-ssc.ac.in/faq. Results of Class 10 SSC board students are expected to be declared after July 3, 2021, as per the schedule released by MSBSHSE.
As Class 10 SSC board examinations have been cancelled this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, students will be awarded 50 marks per subject based on their final scores in Class 9, 30 marks based on the written examinations conducted in the entire academic year of Class 10 and 20 marks based on the final viva-voce, practical examinations and internal assessment of Class 10.
MSBSHSE said, "In the assessment process, marks will be rounded up. For example, if a student has scored 77 marks out of 100 in Mathematics subject in Class 9, they will be given 38.5 marks as per the 50 per cent rule. But the decimal points will be rounded, so the student will get 39 marks as per Class 9 scores added to the final score."
The entire assessment process will be completed and final marks will be submitted to the board by June 30. Following which, the board will take a final decision regarding result declaration after July 3. As per the schedule, class teachers have been informed to complete pending assessment and submit marks to the school result committee from June 11 to June 20.
The school result committee will check for discrepancies and submit final marks to the MSBSHSE board from June 21 to June 30. A senior official of MSBSHSE, Mumbai division said, "The school result committee will submit final marks and results in sealed packets to the board from June 25 to June 30. We will analyse and declare final Class 10 SSC board results post July 3."
