Recently, Water Resources Minister Girish Mahajan was assaulted by BJP district president Uday Wagh and his supporters in an election campaign rally at Amalner. Though the reason behind the clash is not clear, but the video of the assault has gone viral.

According to sources, it all started after Uday’s wife MLC Smita Wagh was dropped as the Lok Sabha nominee from Jalgaon constituency. The nomination was given to the MLA, Unmesh Patil. After this, tension started to grow between Uday and Patil which further turned into a fight. While stopping his fellow party members, Girish Mahajan was manhandled as seen in the video.
However, according to another video, Girish can be seen pushing a man of the stage.
