Mumbai: A 40-year-old maulana from Malvani in Malad (W) was detained for questioning by the Maharashtra Anti Terrorism Squad (ATS) on Wednesday. The man was released after four hours. Police said he was brought in for questioning as a part of the routine inquiry.
Sources in the Maharashtra ATS said the man had earlier given inputs on rogue youngsters who had joined the terror outfit ISIS in 2015 and wanted some basic information on any development in the formation of such rogue groups. However, after the questioning, he was let out. Police claim the man was neither arrested nor booked.
