Help nabbed forstealing jewellery worth Rs 6.85 lakh in Thane

The Wagale Estate police arrested a former maid for stealing a gold chain from the employer’s house after using a duplicate key at Thane.

Thane: The Wagale Estate police arrested a former maid for stealing a gold chain from the employer’s house after using a duplicate key at Thane. Police said the accused Minnati Gauda (31) is a resident of Lokmanya Nagar in Thane.

The victim Bhavesh Mirgnani, 37, on June 6, came to know his gold ornaments worth Rs6,85,000 were missing. He approched to police and filed a case. Police booked a case under IPC sections 454, 457, 380.

Police said Bhavesh and, wife along with mother-in-law, live at Wagale Estate. He went to picnic with his wife while his mother-in-law stayed back. The incident took place when she went to a market. Based on the CCTV footages and mobile tower locati­ons, the maid was nabbed.
