Every year when it rains heavily in Mumbai, the city gets flooded. Adding to woes are the high tides and Neap tides. This year there will be high tides on 28 days and Neap tides on 12 days.
According to Lokmat, the high tides, which are believed to be above 4.5 meters, will lash the city from June to September. In 2018, high tides were witnessed on 24 days during the monsoon season i.e. from June to September 2018. The highest tide will be of 4.91 meters on September 1. The BMC is now working on preparing a list of high tides and neap tides days, so emergency teams can be alerted.

August: 1 (4.74 m), 2 (4.87 m), 3 (4.9 m), 4 (4.83 m), 5 (4.65 m), 29 (4 .53 m), 30 (4.77 m), 31 (4.9 m).
