Thane: A 60-year-old man died after being hit by a bus at Thane highway on Sunday morning. The deceased has not yet been identified. Police are trying to ascertain his identity. The deceased was crossing the highway when the bus, which was coming from Mumbai, hit him from behind near HDFC Bank at Teenhath Naka in Thane.
The Noupada police and traffic police rushed to spot and took him to the civil hospital where he was died during the treatment. The bus driver fled from spot leaving the bus on road. Police have taken the possession of a bus. The Naupada police have registered a case against bus driver.
