2 held for raping girl in Wadala

MUMBAI: Wadala Police arrested two men for sexu­a­l­ly assaulting a 13-year-old girl, who resided in their neighbourhood on January 30. The two accused, identified as Sunil Mhatre, 51, and Suresh Sarang, 53, have been booked under the relevant IPC and the POCSO Act sections. Sources said the duo had been repeatedly rap­ing the girl for a year, by forc­ing her to accompany them to va­r­ious areas. On January 30, when Sara­ng entered a public toilet in Sewri along with the girl, people found it suspi­c­i­ous. They called police, who nabbed the accused.
