Ujjain: YSY scheme; Training for 1660 youths begins

Ujjain: Ujjain Municipal Corporation (UMC) has started training of 1660 youths registered Under Yuva Swabhiman Yojana (YSY) scheme.  In the district employment office over 16341 unemployed youths are registered. Among them 9340 are men and 7001 are women.

During Assembly election Congress party committed a promise to give unemployment allowance to the state youths in its promissory note. In February, online registrations for the 100 days employment under the YSY were opened. After this the registration portal of YSY is locked.

Sources claimed the registration for second phase will start after the training of first phase is completed. The 100 days employment of trained youths will start by March 6.
